|---|---|
| Complexity | Use at least 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols |
| Uniqueness | Never reuse passwords from other services or websites |
| Rotation | Change your password every 90 days for accounts with platform-wide access |
| Storage | Use a reputable password manager (do not store in plain text files or sticky notes) |
| Sharing | Never share your password — each user should have their own account |
Session Management
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account:
- Change your password immediately from the Profile settings page
- Contact your administrator to review recent account activity
- Log out of all active sessions (if you use multiple devices, sign out from each one)
- Enable any additional security features offered by your organization
Best Practices
- Keep your email current — your email address is the primary method for account recovery and platform notifications
- Use an organization email — this makes team collaboration smoother and helps administrators identify you
- Verify your phone number — an accurate phone number is essential if your administrator needs to reach you
- Review your profile quarterly — make sure your name, title, and contact details are still accurate
