Dashboard Guide: Navigation
Learn how to navigate the Voxvaani platform efficiently using the sidebar, search bar, breadcrumbs, and keyboard controls.

The search bar (/ shortcut) is the fastest way to navigate. Instead of clicking through the sidebar, type any section name, contact, campaign, or settings page to jump directly there.
Sidebar Navigation
The sidebar is the primary navigation tool for accessing all features and sections of Voxvaani. It is organized into logical groups that mirror your workflow.

Collapsing the Sidebar
Click the toggle button (hamburger icon) at the top of the sidebar to collapse it into an icon-only view. This is useful when:
- You need more horizontal space for data-heavy pages like analytics or call logs
- You are working on a smaller screen and want to maximize the content area
- You already know the icons and do not need the text labels
Click the toggle again to expand the sidebar back to its full width with text labels.
Hovering over a collapsed sidebar item shows a tooltip with the section name, so you can navigate even in the collapsed state without guessing.
Breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs appear at the top of each page, just below the header bar, and show your current location in the platform’s page hierarchy.
How Breadcrumbs Work
- Each breadcrumb segment represents a page in your navigation path
- Click any segment to jump directly to that page
- The last segment (typically grayed out) represents the current page you are viewing
- Breadcrumbs update automatically as you navigate deeper into nested pages
Example breadcrumb trail: Dashboard > Voice & IVR > IVR Designer > Edit Flow
Clicking “Voice & IVR” takes you to the Voice overview page. Clicking “Dashboard” returns you to the main dashboard. “Edit Flow” is grayed out because it is your current location.
Breadcrumbs are especially helpful when you are several levels deep in a feature (e.g., editing a specific campaign flow) and want to go back to a parent page without using the browser’s back button or the sidebar.
Search
Use the search bar in the top navigation bar to quickly find content across the platform.
Search Syntax
The search bar supports plain-text queries across the entire platform. Here is what you can search for and the syntax to use:

Search Tips
- Press
/(forward slash) from anywhere to focus the search bar instantly - Results appear in a dropdown as you type — no need to press Enter
- Use specific terms for faster results (e.g., “voice broadcasting” instead of just “voice”)
- The search bar indexes the entire platform and updates as new content is added
- Partial matches are supported — typing “bra” will show “Broadcasting” in results
Mobile and Responsive Navigation
Voxvaani is designed to be responsive across devices, though the experience is optimized for desktop use:

Mobile Navigation Differences
On smaller screens, the navigation experience differs from desktop:
- Sidebar becomes an overlay drawer that slides in from the left, covering the page content rather than pushing it
- Tap outside the drawer to close it — no dedicated close button is needed
- Breadcrumbs are hidden to save vertical space; use the sidebar or browser back button instead
- The top navigation bar condenses to show only essential controls (search, notifications, profile menu)
- Some dense tables and charts may require horizontal scrolling — swipe left/right on touch devices
- Hover tooltips are unavailable on touch devices; tap-and-hold does not trigger tooltips
- Keyboard shortcuts (Tab navigation,
/for search) require an external keyboard on mobile
Keyboard Navigation
The platform supports standard keyboard navigation for accessibility and power-user efficiency:
