Dashboard Guide: Metrics & Charts

Understand the metrics and charts displayed throughout the Voxvaani dashboard. This guide explains what each metric means, how to interpret the charts, and how to filter and export data for reporting.

Total CampaignsAll campaigns created (active + completed + paused)Understand your historical outreach volumeCampaign
Success RatePercentage of calls answered or messages deliveredThe most important performance indicator — low rates may indicate number quality or timing issuesCampaign

⚠️

Resource balances that approach zero will trigger notifications in the dashboard. Running a campaign with zero balance will cause it to fail. Top up your balances from the Billing page before this happens.

Understanding Your Charts

The dashboard uses several chart types, each suited to different kinds of data:

Line Charts

Purpose: Track trends over time with continuous data.

How to read: The x-axis represents time (days, weeks, or months), and the y-axis represents the measured value. An upward slope indicates growth or increased usage; a downward slope indicates decline. Hover over any data point to see the exact value and timestamp.

Typical use cases:

  • Daily voice minute consumption over the past 30 days
  • WhatsApp message volume growth week over week
  • Campaign success rate trends over multiple campaigns
  • Wallet balance changes over a billing cycle

Bar Charts

Purpose: Compare discrete values across categories side by side.

How to read: Each bar represents a category or entity. Taller bars indicate higher values. Grouped bars show sub-categories within each group. This is the best chart for identifying which item is the highest or lowest in a set.

Typical use cases:

  • Campaign performance by channel (voice vs. WhatsApp vs. email)
  • Resource usage broken down by individual campaign
  • Call outcomes grouped by status (answered, busy, no answer, failed)
  • Revenue generated per campaign (admin view)

Pie / Donut Charts

Purpose: Show proportional distribution of a whole.

How to read: Each slice represents a category’s share of the total. Larger slices indicate a larger proportion. Donut charts display the total value in the center. These are most effective when you have 3-6 categories to compare.

Typical use cases:

  • Distribution of call outcomes across all campaigns (answered, busy, no answer, voicemail)
  • Resource allocation split by department or user (admin view)
  • Campaign budget allocation across channels

Progress Bars

Purpose: Show completion or consumption progress toward a defined limit.

How to read: The filled portion of the bar represents consumed or completed units. The empty portion represents remaining capacity. The percentage label shows the exact ratio. A bar approaching 100% (often colored red) signals that you are near your limit.

Typical use cases:

  • Voice minute consumption as a percentage of your plan limit
  • WhatsApp message usage against your monthly allocation
  • Campaign execution progress (calls completed vs. total)
  • Email delivery progress during a bulk send

Setting Date Filters

The date range filter is the most commonly used filter on the dashboard. It controls the time window for all charts and metrics on the page.

Date Range Presets

PresetRangeWhen to Use
TodayCurrent day from midnightChecking today’s campaign performance while a campaign is running
YesterdayPrevious calendar dayReviewing yesterday’s results the following morning
Last 7 DaysRolling 7-day windowWeekly performance review; identifying short-term trends
This WeekMonday through Sunday of the current weekComparing performance against weekly goals
Last 30 DaysRolling 30-day windowMonthly reporting; identifying medium-term trends
This Month1st through end of current monthBilling cycle review; matching resource usage to plan period
Custom RangeAny start and end date you specifyClient reports for a specific date range; ad-hoc analysis

How to Apply Date Filters

  1. Locate the date picker in the top section of the dashboard
  2. Click the current date range to open the preset dropdown
  3. Select a preset, or click Custom Range and pick start and end dates from the calendar
  4. The dashboard automatically refreshes to reflect the selected date range
  5. All charts, tables, and metrics update simultaneously to show data within the chosen window
💡

Date filters are persistent within your session. If you switch from the dashboard to another page and return, the same date range remains active. To view all available data, select Custom Range and choose the widest possible window.

Channel Filter

Narrow metrics to a specific communication channel:

  • All Channels — Combined view of voice, WhatsApp, and email
  • Voice Only — Call metrics exclusively
  • WhatsApp Only — Message and template metrics
  • Email Only — Email delivery and open rates

Campaign Filter

Drill down to the performance of a single campaign by selecting it from the campaign filter dropdown. This is useful for post-campaign analysis and client reporting.

Exporting Data

💡

All charts and metrics tables support data export. Look for the Export button (typically a download icon) in the top-right corner of any chart or table on the dashboard.

Supported Export Formats

FormatExtensionBest ForNotes
CSV.csvImporting into Excel, Google Sheets, or data analysis toolsMost flexible; includes raw numeric data
PDF.pdfCreating printable reports for clients or stakeholdersFormatted layout; best for presentations
PNG.pngSaving a chart image for presentations or quick sharingCaptures the visual only; no raw data

Export Workflow

  1. Set your desired date range, channel, and campaign filters
  2. Click the Export button on the chart or table you want to export
  3. Select the format from the dropdown (CSV, PDF, or PNG)
  4. The file downloads automatically to your browser’s default download location
  5. Open the file in the appropriate application to review or share

Exports respect your currently active filters, so set your date range and channel filters before exporting to get exactly the data slice you need. For multi-chart exports, repeat the process for each chart individually.
