Lead Scraper
Discover and scrape business leads from Google Places to build targeted prospect lists for your outreach campaigns.
Overview
The Lead Scraper queries the Google Places API to find businesses matching your selected country, city, and industry. It then lightly crawls each business’s website to extract contact information and enrichment data, generating lead scores and personalized outreach copy for each prospect.
What Data the Scraper Extracts
For each discovered business, the scraper extracts:
| Data Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Company Name | Business name from Google Places |
| Phone Numbers | Primary phone from Places and additional numbers from the website (tel: links) |
| Email Addresses | Email addresses found on the website and in mailto: links |
| Website URL | Business website from Google Places |
| Industry & Location | Matched industry, city, and country from your search criteria |
| Mobile Responsiveness | Whether the website has a viewport meta tag (indicating mobile optimization) |
| App Store Links | Presence of iOS App Store or Google Play Store links on the website |
| Booking Widgets | Detection of booking/scheduling tools (Calendly, Acuity, Appointy, etc.) |
| Client Portal | Whether the website has login, sign-in, or client portal pages |
| Careers Page | Whether the website has a careers or jobs section |
| Copyright Year | Extracted from the website footer |

Lead Scoring and Personalization
Each scraped lead receives an automated lead score and personalized outreach copy:
Lead Score Factors
| Signal | Weight | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Outdated website | +3 pts | Copyright year ≤ 2023 or missing mobile viewport |
| No mobile app | +3 pts | No app store links for app-benefiting industries (E-commerce, Healthcare, Real Estate, Education, Logistics) |
| No booking widget | +3 pts | Manual booking or inquiry process detected |
| Careers page | +3 pts | Actively hiring — potential for HR/recruitment tools |
| Limited automation | +2 pts | Modern site but no client portal or booking automation |
Generated Outreach Copy
For each lead, the scraper generates:
- Opportunity Type — Categorized as website improvement, mobile app, automation, or custom software
- Email Draft — Subject line and personalized email body ready for outreach
- WhatsApp Message — Concise opening message for WhatsApp prospecting
Filtering and Deduplication
Before importing, the system helps you clean and organize scraped data:
- Duplicate Removal — Automatically skips leads that already exist in your Scraped Leads list or Contacts database (matched by company name, website, or phone number)
- Validation — Phone numbers and email addresses are validated against expected formats
- Budget Protection — Each lead extracted deducts from your
leadBalance. The scraper stops when balance is exhausted
Review Before Importing. Always manually review the extracted data before adding contacts to your database. Automated extraction can produce false positives — phone numbers that are not real contacts, incorrectly parsed names, or non-contact email addresses (like [email protected]). A 5-minute review saves hours of cleanup later.
Managing Scraper Leads
The scraper dashboard lists all your scraped leads:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| View Results | Browse extracted data in a table with filtering and search |
| Import | Selectively import leads — choose specific entries to add to Contacts |
| Export | Download scraped data as CSV before importing |
| Delete Lead | Remove an individual scraped lead |
| Clear All | Remove all scraped leads for your account |
Results View
Each lead card displays:
- Company name, industry, city, and country
- Phone numbers and email addresses (when available)
- Website URL
- Lead score with contributing factors
- Generated opportunity type
- Pre-written email and WhatsApp outreach copy
Tips
- Use targeted industry/city combinations for higher quality results (e.g., “Dentist in Mumbai” rather than “Healthcare in India”)
- Apply filters (With Email, With Phone) to narrow results to actionable leads only
- Review the generated outreach copy and personalize it further before sending
- Tag imported contacts with the scraper source for traceability
- Monitor your lead balance — each scraped lead consumes one credit from your plan allocation
