Call Logs

View detailed records of all voice calls made through your Voxvaani account. Monitor call status, duration, and outcomes. Use call logs for auditing, troubleshooting, billing reconciliation, and campaign performance analysis.

Overview

The Call Logs page provides a complete, searchable history of every call placed through the platform. Each log entry captures the full lifecycle of a call attempt — from dial initiation to final disposition — along with metadata about the campaign, contact, and provider involved.

Each log entry includes:

CampaignThe campaign that initiated the call. Click to jump to the campaign’s detail page.

Features

Filtering

Refine the call log view to find specific calls or analyze subsets of data. All filters can be combined for precise queries.

Filter options:

FilterDescriptionExample
Date RangeSelect a time period — choose from presets (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days) or set a custom date range.Last 7 Days, or Jan 1–Jan 31
StatusFilter by one or more call outcomes. Select multiple statuses to see all non-successful calls at once.Failed + Busy + No Answer
CampaignView logs for a specific campaign. Useful for campaign post-mortems.”January Payment Reminder”
Contact NumberSearch for calls to a specific phone number. Supports partial matching.”+919876” to find all calls to a specific prefix
Call TypeFilter by calling method.IVR only, to compare IVR performance against Audio campaigns
ProviderShow calls routed through a specific provider. Helps isolate provider-specific issues.Show only Indian Route calls
Duration RangeFilter by minimum or maximum duration.Duration > 30s to find engaged calls; Duration = 0s to find non-connects
💡

Filter combination example: To find all failed calls from the last 7 days for a specific campaign, set Date Range to “Last 7 Days”, Status to “Failed”, and select the campaign name. This narrows thousands of records to exactly the problematic subset.

Call Outcome Analysis

Understanding what each status means helps you diagnose campaign issues and improve performance:

StatusMeaningCampaign ImpactRecommended Action
CompletedCall connected to a live person and the full message/flow was delivered.Success. Counts toward your success rate.No action needed. Review duration to confirm engagement.
FailedCall could not be connected due to an invalid number, network error, or provider failure.Counts as a failed attempt, triggering retries if configured.Check the error code for the specific cause. Remove invalid numbers from your contact list.
BusyRecipient’s line was engaged on another call.Counts as failed. Retry attempts typically succeed on the second or third try.If a specific contact shows consistent Busy status, consider calling at a different time of day.
No AnswerCall rang but was not picked up before the ring timeout.Counts as failed but is the most common outcome. Retries at different times may succeed. If No Answer rate exceeds 60%, evaluate your caller ID, calling time, and contact list quality.
CancelledCall was cancelled before the dial attempt reached the provider. Happens when a campaign is paused mid-execution.Does not consume voice minutes. No direct action. These contacts will be attempted when the campaign resumes.
In ProgressCall is currently active — connected and in progress.Temporary state. Transitions to Completed, Failed, or another terminal status.Monitor for unusually long In Progress calls (exceeding your call duration limit).
VoicemailCall reached an answering machine or voicemail system (requires Answer Machine Detection to be enabled).Counts as a delivery but with lower engagement.Consider whether leaving voicemail messages is valuable for your campaign goals.
RejectedRecipient actively declined the call.Counts as failed. Indicates the recipient is not receptive to calls.Flag this contact for reduced calling frequency or removal from voice campaigns.
ℹ️

Log retention period: Call logs are retained for 90 days from the call date for all plan tiers. After 90 days, logs are archived and may not be available in the dashboard. For long-term record-keeping, export your logs regularly — monthly exports are recommended. Contact support if you need access to archived logs beyond 90 days.

Using Call Logs for Billing Reconciliation

Call logs provide granular data to verify your voice minute consumption against your billing statements:

  1. Export logs for the billing period you want to reconcile.
  2. Sum the voice_minutes column to get total voice minute consumption.
  3. Cross-reference with your plan’s voice minute allocation to verify you stayed within limits.
  4. Identify high-cost calls by sorting the Duration column descending. Calls significantly longer than your message length may indicate the recipient staying on the line after the message ended — adjust your Call Duration Limit accordingly.
  5. Spot anomalies such as calls to premium-rate numbers or unexpected international dialing by reviewing the contact numbers column.

Tips

  • Regularly review failed calls to identify and remove invalid numbers from your contact lists. A single bad number called across multiple retry attempts wastes voice minutes.
  • Use date range filters to compare campaign performance week-over-week or month-over-month. Look for trends in answer rates by day of week and time of day.
  • Cross-reference call logs with campaign analytics for full insights. The campaign dashboard aggregates metrics; call logs provide the raw data for custom analysis.
  • Export logs before deleting campaigns. While call logs persist independently, exporting ensures you have a permanent record of campaign performance before cleanup.
  • Monitor In Progress calls during active campaigns. A spike in calls stuck in “In Progress” beyond your duration limit may indicate a provider issue or a flow problem.
